Hey, welcome to my site, my name is Benny Henderson Jr. they call me the “Big Dog” a nickname which WBO Heavyweight Champion and good friend Lamon Brewster gave me. I am a Christian sports writer and I cover boxing and mixed martial arts. I am lead writer for Doghouse Boxing, feature writer for Max Fighting and Corner Commentator for Corner Chatter, which is for Tommy Morrison’s site. I have been a boxing fan for years since I watched a match with my grandpa, I can’t remember the fighters I just remember the good time we had together. My favorite fighters are Mike Tyson, Tommy Morrison, Chris Byrd, Lamon Brewster, emphasis on the heavyweight division. I also like Oscar De La Hoya, Julio Caesar Chavez, man the list actually goes on. There are actually to many to name because there are so many great ones out there. My passion is boxing and I feel very blessed to be able to write about it and get to meet and chat with the fighters. I have rubbed shoulders with some of boxing’s elite and have sat down with the local boxer, to me the prospects are just as important as the champions, they are just in the early stages and are earning their stripes like the big guys so I think they have a voice and I am always willing to let their voice be heard. Some of my articles and interviews have been featured in magazines, on major networks and newspapers. I am not boasting, compared to a lot of the writer’s out there I am still very green and haven’t accomplished much in the writing world, but to me I have made great strides to be who I am today and am very happy to be a part of boxing. This website will feature some of my work and will let you see what kind of work I do along with some photos and links to some of my boxing buddies.
